The seventeen standing committees of the Faculty Senate are where shared governance and academic rigor are most directly put into practice, on a regular basis. Constituted through election from all units of the University, Committee members regularly put into practice our high standards of academic rigor and professional ethos. Service on Faculty Senate committees is both an honor and a serious responsiiblity for a UNLV faculty member, and faculty approach this responsibility with the highest professional regard for the well-being of UNLV's entire campus community.
